About ten years ago, I completed my training as a certified medical massage therapist (FA SRK). It was a two-year, full-time program that focused on the body, its functions, and its problems. I learned how to support the body's healing process using a variety of physical techniques (massage, heat/cold, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, etc.). It was a solid foundation. But I realized something was missing. I soon changed careers and worked for NGOs for ten years.

Until I discovered Hawaiian Lomi Lomi Nui massage. It's a massage technique that uses plenty of warm oil, is primarily performed with the soft forearms, and includes long, flowing strokes from head to toe. The touch is therefore different from a classic massage. The body is perceived differently and feels more connected, more "whole." The massage doesn't make you tired; it awakens you. Many people radiate energy after the massage, laugh, and feel refreshed and healthy. I sensed, along with my clients, that something was still missing.

And that's how I found my way to tantric massage. Tantra, a word that evokes many associations and about which some misconceptions exist. For me, it's the natural continuation of my path. In classical medical massage, the only centimeter of the knee that hurts is treated. In Lomi Lomi Nui, the entire body is massaged from head to toe – with the exception of the genital area. Tantric massage leaves nothing of the body out. It accepts it completely, just as it is. Through this kind of massage, you're not simply touching the skin. Performed with empathy and devotion, it allows for a true connection with a person. On all levels.

Tantric massage is a search for harmony through mindful, loving, sensual, and playful touch. A new awareness of the body can emerge. Since May 2017, I have been fulfilling my dream of owning my own massage practice with "Angele Massage" in the "Zwicky Süd" district of Wallisellen.
